but shall perform to the Lord what you have sworn").
Always thank God for everything and don't forget Him when you get what you asked for! Some sacred lines say that in a dispute between believers, the one who gives in is always right.
Do not add to or subtract from the words of the Scriptures.
Always pronounce after expressing or thinking about your plans, assumptions, and desires: "If the Lord God will."
Give alms from what you have.
Do not forget the Qur'anic saying, "The reward of an evil deed is its equivalent." But whoever pardons and seeks reconciliation, then their reward is with Allah.
The Bible also says the same thing: "Love your enemies. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?"
And this is a logical thing. A person will get his reward for injustice, effort, and suffering. If you reciprocate, you are simply giving back. But if you respond to evil with good, then you have made a loan.
If someone is a danger to you, stay away from him, but it would be beneficial to forgive him. This is the formula of righteousness. In this way, you will remain without sin, and the Creator will give retribution to the enemy for everything. It is not that you want your enemies to be punished, but that they should understand and be aware of the evil they have done. In this way, you will cleanse yourself from sin, and "you will heap coals of fire on his head."
This is a micro-summary of the laws of the Scriptures.
There are many more detailed instructions in the Holy Books that touch absolutely every aspect of our lives. For example, regarding food: "Keep yourselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled."
By obeying the holy laws and commandments of God Himself, you will be a righteous person, part of God's people, whom God watches over as the best of His servants.
As you study the Bible and the Qur'an, you must always remember that these laws are universal and common to both of these great Books.
Purpose and true success
The goal of everything in our material earthly life: work, sports, business, politics, study, personal life, and every life activity is to enjoy the results of our efforts, and it is right. There is only one misconception: you can wish for anything (which is not evil), but to lust is only to please God, only then you will have everything harmonious and good.
You must not put anything or anyone first in your life except God, and you must worship and serve Him only. Everything else should be secondary at best.
The ability to succeed in one area of life or another is your gift from above. Let this ability bring you a lot of money, fame — any good thing. But you have this success only to glorify your Creator who has given you all this. Otherwise, you will not have this success for long. Millions of destinies prove that. Never boast or take credit for your achievements — all praise to God.
Many atheists are millionaires, billionaires, soulless and unprincipled people, also cruel criminals who live a luxurious life until their last day on earth. The Holy Qur'an says about such people: "And let neither their wealth nor children impress you. Allah only intends to torment them through these things in this world, and [then] their souls will depart while they are disbelievers."
These people have put the most important thing at stake — their souls. They have risked everything, and there is no need to look at them as an example. Let alone envy them. You should not envy anyone. The lives of such people will also fly by very quickly. The pleasure will be temporary, and then eternity awaits them, perhaps a cruel eternity that rewards them according to their deeds.
Perhaps the Almighty is giving them a chance to overcome the temptation of wealth: either to give it up, to sacrifice it, or to lose it in great trouble, and to get on the right path by repenting.
No one knows how a person's life will turn out: he may seem to be rich and have everything he wants, but in reality, he's deeply unhappy and has many difficulties, worries, and sorrows.
I am far from being righteous, I have acted quite badly in many situations in my life. It is not easy to be righteous in reality, and only the strongest, even the saints, can do it. But it is at least necessary to strive for it with all one's soul, to have an intention, and to do everything possible that depends on one in every concrete situation of life so that one does not deviate from the laws of the Holy Books.
Perhaps then you will join the number of those who succeed.
One should remember that the Creator loves absolutely everyone, not only holy people. Everyone will receive according to his efforts. One should always believe only in the best, for God gives only the best. Prophet Muhammad said: "Always expect the best from Allah."
So the highest pleasure and reward of effort comes from what comes first, the goal. That reward is eternal life in the revealed greatness of God. One must believe in this with absolute clarity and conviction, without doubting it for a second. It is difficult because many people want a sign, an omen, a phenomenon, or a vivid dream — proof that God exists. But what is your merit if you believe only after the sign? It is the same as a cheating wife who knew in advance that her husband was coming and canceled the meeting with her lover. It doesn't make her reliable, at least. And that's the logic of it. That is the essence of faith: To be faithful no matter
